About 9Tuner
9Tuner
is an application program that modifies certain resources in your
system files to change the appearances and functionality of your
Mac OS 9. Since all changes are modified directly in your system
software, the changes do not require extra system memory to function.
9Tuner includes the following 6 options:
Finder Menu Tuner:
This option enables you to set all possible command key combinations
and menu item text for most of Finder's menus . After you tune
this option, most Finder's operations can be toggled by pressing
the command key and the key you assign without pulling down the
menus.
Suffix Tuner:
This option enables you to change Finder's suffix for Copy, Alias,
and Untitled Folder.
About Tuner:
This option enables you to change your computer's name, Finder's
"About This Computer" menu text, and Finder About Box's
picture.
Folder Icon Tuner:
This option allows you to change the System's default folder icons,
such as System Folder, Control Panels, Extensions, and so on.
You can use 9Tuner's folder files, or design your own resource
files and use them with 9Tuner.
System Icon Tuner:
This option allows you to change the System's default icons, such
as the icons in the alert boxes, trash can, microphone icons,
and many others. You can use 9Tuner's icon files, or design your
own resource files and use them with 9Tuner.
MOSS Tuner:
This option allows you to change your system's Mac OS Splash Screen
(MOSS). You can use 9Tuner's MOSS files, or design your own MOSS
resource files and use them with 9Tuner.
Attention Mac OS 9.1/9.2 Users:
The "Window" menu on Mac OS 9.1 Finder is
skipped in Finder Menu Tuner option.
